Yeast Nutrient
Yeast Nutrient is a blend formulated to increase yeast activity during fermentation so that attenuation can be reached more rapidly, and the fermentation cycle shortened. This shortening of the lag phase can help to reduce off flavours in beer that are due to bacteriological contamination. Yeast Nutrient can cause a reduction in the final gravity by invigorating the yeast and enabling it to give a more complete fermentation. This can also reduce the diacetyl content in the finished beer.
USAGE LEVEL
The recommended use level of Yeast Nutrient is 0.92 grams per 23ltr batch. It should be slurried in water and added to the kettle about 10-15 minutes before the end of boil. The blend contains nutrients and minerals which include Zinc, Potassium, Manganese & phosphorus (nitrogen).
STORAGE
Store in a tightly sealed container under cool, dry conditions. Storage life can be extended by minimising exposure to high humidity and temperature.
