Prior to The Hopping Mechanism I had always been an
advocate for buying in bulk. Buying bulk, either online or in
store, saves time & for a lot of us more importantly money… I
found over time even doing this, the savings began to diminish.
Big stores have big overheads…rent, power, wages, etc. This in
turn undeniably drives the price up for the end user, you &
I alike. Why should making the best beer & cider you can make at home cost you any more than it should?
Well, it shouldn’t and that’s why I decided to create and build
The Hopping Mechanism which is essentially an online
dedicated store, (yes pick up is still available for Melbourne
brewers who live locally to me by appointment). By doing this
as a home-based sole trader, along with dealing directly with
Australia’s big wholesalers, I’m able to keep all those extra
overheads down to an absolute minimum.
What does this mean to you? It means you as a brewer are
receiving the exact same ingredients that the breweries who
make your favourite store or pub bought bevies are delivered
direct to your door at as close to wholesale prices possible
wherever you live in Australia.
No matter your brewing technique, whether it be K&K, FWK,
Mini/Partial Mash or All Grain you deserve quality ingredients
to help make the best brew you can. I will endeavour to keep
your home brewing journey as cost effective & enjoyable as
possible. This is my promise to you!
