Bravo’s lineage includes Zeus crossed with a male (98004 x USDA 19058m). It was released in 2006. Bravo imparts a smooth enjoyable bitterness along with pungent citrus flavor balanced by notes of tropical fruit and hints of floral character when added later in the boil. It is a versatile hop that can be used in a variety of beer styles. Bravo is a super alpha hop variety that came about as a result of open pollination. It is mainly used as a bittering hop, but it can contribute fruity and floral notes when added later in the boil and works well with IPAs, Pale Ales and Red Ales.
