Otherwise known as Chalk, this product is used to adjust water pH. Calcium Carbonate will raise water pH. It has very limited solubility and is only effective when added directly to the mash. Use for making dark beers in areas of soft water.

1 gram per gallon (3.8ltrs) adds 106 ppm Calcium, 158 ppm Carbonate.
STORAGE
Store in a tightly sealed container under cool, dry conditions. Storage life can be extended by minimising exposure to high humidity and temperature.
