It has specific aroma descriptors that include grapefruit, citrus, peach, melon, lime, gooseberry, passionfruit and lychee with a smooth bitterness when added to the boil. Citra has become one of the most popular hops in the world overtaking Cascade as the most grown hop in 2018 and has yet to relinquish that title.
