Hallertau Huell Melon (GER)

Bred at the Hop Research Institute in Hull and released in 2012, Huell (Hull) Melon was commercialized as a new, German aroma variety in response to growing demand from the craft beer industry for distinct flavour profiles. It displays bold flavours that are not associated with typical variety aromas and has found favour in many hop forward, IPA and pale ale beer styles. A daughter of Cascade (US), it has some interesting flavours and it is noted to be intensely fruity with flavours and aromas of honeydew melon and strawberry.
